On October 8, Cavetown lit up The Wiltern on the eleventh stop of his Running With Scissors Tour. Robin Skinner, known professionally as Cavetown, took the stage and brought his vibrant, indie pop energy to Los Angeles. He performed songs from his newest album, Running with Scissors. The first half of the night was filled mostly with songs from the new album, such as “Cryptid” and “Baby Spoon,” with a few oldies sprinkled in there like “Sweet Tooth” and “Juliet.”

As he transitioned into the second part of the night though, it was clear how much it meant to Skinner to honor his OG fans and sing some of his oldest hits, including, but not limited to, “Boys Will Be Bugs.” Along with this, he also invited long time friend and tour opener, Chloe Moriondo, out on stage with him to perform two of their hits, “grey space” and the all-electric “Sailboat.” Watching the two perform together, fans were immediately brought into the closeness of their friendship and invited to enjoy the pure chaos and fun of their duets. In the end, Cavetown transformed his dreamy, bedroom pop vibe into a more electric, rock vibe as he performed songs like “First Time” and “Straight Through My Head,” and finally ended the night with “Devil Town.” Overall, Cavetown put on an amazing, engaging concert and provided a night his fans will most definitely never forget.
