Alison Moyet is celebrated for her powerful, smoky contralto voice that brought soul and emotional depth to the synth-driven sound of the 1980s. She first rose to prominence as one half of the influential duo Yazoo Her solo career expanded into pop, blues, jazz, and alternative music. She produced enduring hits such as “Love Resurrection” and “All Cried Out.” Moyet's music carries a sophisticated, melancholic atmosphere full of elegance and late night soul.

Soft Cell helped define the darker, more provocative side of early 1980s synth-pop. Blending minimalist electronic production with themes of nightlife, loneliness, and desire. Comprised of Marc Almond and David Ball, the duo became internationally known for their iconic hit “Tainted Love” and its companion track “Where Did Our Love Go.” Their music fused dance beats with cabaret, art-pop, and post-punk influences, creating a sound that felt both glamorous and gritty.
