Phoenix Fan Fusion, an annual pop culture event, returned to the Phoenix Convention Center for its 24th consecutive year. Held from June 5 to 7, the event attracted thousands of fans from across the Southwest, with over 130,000 attendees on Saturday alone. Fans patiently waited for blocks to enter the event every day and spend time exploring and showing off each other’s cosplay.

The event featured a diverse lineup of celebrities, including John Cena, Misha Collins, Ian Somerhalder, and Nikki Reed. A special Gilmore Girls reunion with Scott Patterson and Sean Gunn was also a highlight.

The event was a vibrant celebration of pop culture, with fans showcasing their creativity through costumes, props, and cosplay. There were also numerous activities and events that attendees were able to participate in such as autograph stations, photo ops, panels and vendors.

The hall on the first floor featured stations for stars to meet and autograph for their fans. There were also many vendors selling all kinds of pop culture merchandise. Including vintage and new. Creators and artists also put their art to display for attendees to purchase.

Some of the larger panels that were featured were amongst stars such as Danny Elfman, Misha Collins, Ian Somerhalder & Nikki Read and a Gilmore Girls reunion. Each panel had its own audience with lines of fans ready to ask questions.

Some of our favorite moments during these panels included Nikki Reed and her passion and voice for sustainability. While she’s had acting opportunities such as Thirteen and Twilight - her passion is writing and where she is today with her multiple companies, her documentaries and collaborations with Dell to bring sustainable products and way of living.

Misha Collins spoke about the different between stage acting and screen acting; biggest difference being that in screen acting you get multiple or as many takes as you need, while stage you’re there and have to nail it essentially on the first try.

The Phoenix Convention Center housed many attendees, likely a record breaking amount, with a variety of activities and things to see and do throughout the three day affair. Some of those not only included connecting with stars, creators and artists but also podcasts, video game sessions, a Lego room, wrestling, etc. There were all sorts of activities for all ages.

Phoenix Fan Fusion seemed to be another successful year in downtown Phoenix, bringing a lot of positivity to the local economy and market and allowing Phoenix fans to bring out their inner cosplay.
