Liz Cooper brought a new day to Phoenix, Arizona, on March 18th, 2026. For the first stop on her It’s A New Day Tour, Cooper took the Valley Bar by storm. I had the pleasure of meeting and taking photos of Cooper by the merch booth after the show. She was just as kind and friendly as we all would expect her to be. The lights began to dim around 9 pm, and the singer/songwriter took the stage to an overwhelming applause. Everyone was thrilled to see the artist that they love performing right in front of them.
Valley Bar is a very intimate venue for a concert, which felt perfect for Cooper’s performance. I have never seen so many people dance so freely. The environment that I witnessed being created last night thrived on freedom, joy, and being who you are. That is why Liz Cooper’s music is so special. She sang hits from her brand new album, such as “Loss of Signal”, “New Day”, and “Better Than Ever”. The crowd danced in harmony, laughed with joy, and left with nothing but smiles from the great night they experienced.
New Day marks the first album from Cooper since 2021. This was a big comeback for Liz, and her pure dedication to the art of music shines through in both the album and performance tonight. Cooper even got emotional halfway through the show because she was filled with so much gratitude for everyone being there and enjoying the music. While she deserves to be on the biggest stage possible, I am so grateful that I got to see her in such a personal venue. After talking to other concert-goers, we all agreed that we would not take any moment of tonight for granted. This felt like a moment between the artist and the fans, rather than a performance for the screens, which is something that is not as common anymore. I was thrilled to witness Liz Cooper perform tonight, and I can not wait to see how she continues to grow in the future.

Plug In. Tune Out.
Indie rock with psychedelic and folk woven within. Driven by swirling guitars, steady grooves, and her warm, grounded vocals. Her aesthetic leans hazy often building immersive, jam-like textures that are earthy. Hypnotic and free-flowing, with laid-back melodies with a subtly trippy edge.
