Penelope Road: brought their Chance Encounter Tour to Missouri

On February 21st, Penelope Road brought their Chance Encounter Tour to a nearly sold out Rose Music Hall in Columbia, Missouri. Penelope Road is an Atlanta based band and recent Warner Records signee that gained notoriety through their often viral covers and original work on social media. Penelope Road is a five piece group full of musical chemistry. Charles Eastman, framed by his red keyboard at the front of the stage, shares lead vocals with Max Moore and his black Gibson Les Paul. Eastman and Moore’s vocals compliment each other with a perfect balance of emotion and gritty warmth. Koan Roy-Mieghoo drives the energy with his guitar work alongside James Kopp keeping the rhythm groovy on bass guitar. Anchoring everything is Anthony Smith on drums locking in the beat and maintaining their warm, nostalgic sound.

The band is currently on tour to promote their Chance Encounter EP which was released in October of 2025. The Chance Encounter EP featured a few songs shown only through live performances or live performances on social media. Most notably fan favorite song, “Chance Encounter.” Similar to the way they played unreleased songs prior to the release of the Chance Encounter EP, the band also played several new and unreleased songs from their upcoming album which has not officially been announced as of February 2026. Some of the songs were performed live for the very first time that night. Each new song carried that smooth as honey Penelope Road sound that fans can't get enough of. The new songs had grooves that were warm and steady with fluid melodies and harmonies that made the unfamiliar sounds feel familiar on first listen.

The band also played many fan favorite tunes from their 2024 Penelope Road EP and 2025’s The Diamond Street Sessions single. Fan favorites like “So It Goes,” “Chance Encounter,” “Mercy,” and “Out Tonight” were met with cheers from the first notes. Penelope Road has a quality of making every song a total crowd pleaser, they are definitely a band to keep on your radar in 2026.
