Live in São Paulo, Yago Oproprio throws a farewell party for his self-titled album in an extended set that still makes room for the B-sides of his career.

Opening act Rô Rosa made his entrance with “Estações” (“Seasons”), greeting a warm crowd already fired up for the night’s main act. Each song brought out emotions tied to different chapters of the singer’s life, while also offering the audience a glimpse into the next phase of his career. Hinting at new sonic directions, Rosa introduced two unreleased tracks in a new performance format — featuring only voice and bass on stage. Fan favorites “Coração Pisciano” (“Piscean Heart”) and “Te Vi de Canto” (“Out of the Corner of My Eye”) also made the setlist, bringing the show to a memorable close.

Nearly a year after taking the stage at Audio Club, Yago Oproprio returned to the venue for a sold-out farewell show celebrating his self-titled album. As an audio clip played the words “Inofensiva, mas te dominou / Entender o que não sabe quem” (“Harmless, but it took control of you / Trying to understand what those who don’t know never will”) and a video rolled on the big screen, Yago made a thunderous entrance, kicking off the show with the second track from his latest album.

Within seconds, it was clear that Yago had the crowd in the palm of his hand. Fans sang along to “Inofensiva,” “La Noche,” and “Jejum” word for word, before a narrated transition pushed the set forward with the powerful message: “Blessed be the worker who has the courage to make art.”

The night continued with a series of standout moments. Gabriel Siee, Rô Rosa, and LK O Marroquino joined Yago at different points throughout the show, with cues from DJ Maah Fernandes driving the performance. The crowd never stopped moving as the evocative sound of his B-sides filled the room, including “Nuvens Tóxicas” (“Toxic Clouds”), “Modus Operandi”—which appeared on the tour’s setlist for the first time—and “AK-47,” a track that hadn’t been performed live in three years.

Oproprio also took a moment to ask the crowd to make some noise for his family, who were in attendance that night. He went on to reflect on his personal life, sharing that he has been changing his habits in order to be by his daughter’s side for many more years. Met with cheers from the audience, he added, “No matter how bleak life may seem, no matter how many storms arise, a new day and a new moment always come for us to be better than we were yesterday,” before introducing the opening chords of “Melhor que Ontem” (“Better Than Yesterday”).

To end the night in full celebration, the artist invited Orquestra Frevo Capibaribe onstage to perform the hit “Linha Azul” in a frevo version. For the final number, Yago walked through the crowd, singing with fans and soaking in the moment. After the show, he sat on the edge of the stage, beaming as he signed records and shared a few words with the audience.
